About Me

I am a PhD Student in Sociology at the University of Glasgow. My family is from Newfoundland (Carbonear) and Labrador (Rigolet/Happy Valley-Goose Bay), though I was raised in Iqaluit, Nunavut. I am a Nunatsiavut Inuk, and my background highly shapes my research interests and motivations for the work I do. My work focuses on alleviating Indigenous health inequalities by understanding social conceptions of health and wellbeing in order to create effective, evidence-driven policies and programming.

I have both independent and collaborative research experience, volunteer, and wholeheartedly believe in the power of mentorship. If you are an Indigenous student, feel free to contact me with any questions.
